The season has changed, and Autumn is fast arriving. Children go back to school, and companies around the world go back into high gear after summer vacations. Excellent timing for our launch of SamePage v. 4.2.
With a customizable dashboard, stronger e-mail integration and advanced plug-in features, we believe the new version of our dynamic enterprise wiki will be a boon to companies that have remote and traveling employees. Plus, people who are accustomed to social-media programs and applications will enjoy the personalized dashboard and page ratings. On the back end, administrators will benefit from more detailed analytics, usage and content reports and to manage projects when necessary. The new version supports Microsoft Office 2007 and has an improved WYSIWYG interface. That means what you see is what you get, and it definitely cuts down on confusion for wiki users.
We had an opportunity to brief Brad Shimmin, principal analyst, collaboration and conferencing at Current Analysis, and to show him a demo of 4.2 before it went live. He said:
"Stemming from the widespread adoption of social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter, today's enterprise workforce requires a unique collaborative solution that combines mobility and self sufficiency. Users seek to roam freely between professional and personal personas. They strive to communicate seamlessly across desktop and mobile device. And they demand complete control over their user experience. With the release of SamePage 4.2, eTouch seeks to address these requirements, adding transparency as a means of understanding and governing this manner of collaboration."
We recommend you watch the brief video demo of the personalized dashboard to see how simple and intuitive it is. Then, if you're not already a customer, sign up for a 30-day free trial to try it out for yourself.
And be among the first to know when we announce something new by following us on Twitter @samepagewiki.
